Ventzislav Blagoev was born in 1967 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. At the age of 9 he began playing the trumpet and at 10 started his studies with Prof. Petar Karparov. He served his time as a soldier in the Folk Orchestra of the Labour Corps. From 1987 to 1992 he studied at the Music Academy Sofia. He became between 1993 and 1994 a student at the Jazz Department at Bruckner Konservatorium-Linz, Austria. From 1991 till 1996 he was soloist in the Bulgarian Army Symphony Orchestra, becoming the leader of "Phantasialand Dixie Band" Cologne, Germany in 1997-2000. He has performed with jazz, folk and symphony orchestras in Austria, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Romania, Belgium....More... |

14 August, Standart News On Tuesday evening the mountain resort of Bansko was once again "shaken" by the magic of jazz. Over 3,000 fans crowded the town's central square to enjoy the concert performed by Bulgarian composer, arranger, jazz musician and pianist Milcho Leviev and virtuoso flute player Teodosii Spasov.
